Summer 2007

Trying to keep good notes for this summer's games was pretty tough for me. My wife left me at the beginning of June while I was out of town on a business trip (blog about that) and I have been pretty scattered most of the summer. The notes below are the best I managed so far, but maybe I will fill them in at some point:

This paragraph is intentionally written without revealing certain Storyteller secrets about the situation. I need to check my notes for the real world date for these sessions. The Scarlet Empress, or some semblance thereof, has returned to Creation. She was discovered cocooned in a white jade shell on the slopes of the Imperial Mountain, and was released on the first day of Calibration at the end of 769 Realm Year. Returning to the Imperial City on a Manta-class vessel which Tepet Fokuf sent to investigate her supposed appearance, the Scarlet Empress revealed that she had been in spiritual retreat, communing with the Perfected Hierarchy. She publicly revealed that the Deathlords were more numerous than suspected, and that they were the source of the Great Contagion. She proclaimed that the increase in their activity showed that they were preparing to perpetrate some great tragedy upon Creation once again, and that she would preempt their efforts by declaring war upon them. Currently the Realm is engaged in early stage operations against Thorns and the Skullstone Archipelago. In a heroic act of near-fatal bravery, the characters of the Far Shores chronicle entered Thorns and provoked the Juggernaut into moving, in order to discover its tactical speed.
