Storyteller Note

This is a style idea. It has not been refined or approved for entry into play. We want the wiki to be an idea playground, too, though.

Glorious Orator Style

“Here we are again,” Myar mumbles to noone in particular. The others were asleep, Iruka was at the helm, and Myar had just finished his shift. Sleeping was hard for the first hour. It took too much mental focus for deattunment. If he let his mind drift into sleep, his body would snatch the ship back to him and fight with whoever was trying to attune. So, sleeping was out.

Instead he trained. He would stand in the reflection of a bulkhead and strike the first pose.

“Breathe in...”

“Two steps forward.”

“Release.”

“Repeat.”

The controlled, rhythmic focus and channeling would help. Once he felt the Guardian lurch forward under a new captain he could begin to relax. Now Myar could flow more natural, more instinctual, more experimental. In these particular moments he discovered something interesting. When he held certain poses, and placed his essence in the right forms his voice and words more calming. In another stance, they would reverberate over and over, drilling into him he last statement.

It was during these moments between shift and sleep in the dead of night under the seas with his companions that he began to create a new style. He would christen it Glorious Gladiator Orator.

Note: This style is for social combat. All times are in long ticks except where otherwise noted.
