Tepet Arada is a canonical character, and as such we will not be duplicating copyrighted material about him. This page serves to save notes about him and changes made to him as pertains to the Far Shores and related Exalted games.
As of Descending Earth 769, ex-General Arada is hanging out with the Vermilion Legion, though his drinking remains out of control.
Rules Change: Arada needs Occult 3 as a prerequisite for one of the Charms he has listed in Aspect Book: Air. As such I have added Occult 3 to his list.
I posted a piece of fiction related to Tepet Arada and his appearance in the Far Shores game: The False Monarch.
In the Far Shores game, Arada possesses a lightning box (from Wonders of the Lost Age).
Proposal for Possible Change to Arada
In the Scroll of Exalts, from 2nd edition Exalted, Arada is portrayed as having Orgiastic Fugitive Style. While I appreciate that the author was trying to reflect his (relatively brief, in relation to his long life) period of drunkenness, that style seems more fitting for Sesus Nagezzer, particularly if you want to reconcile that individual's disparate character sheets.
It would be interesting to see Orgiastic Fugitive Style replaced with Even Blade Style, for Arada, with him also having Master’s Hand Envisioned Anew to give him the ability to use a straight sword (daiklave) with the style in place of its traditional slashing sword (reaper daiklave) form weapon. This would let him use the sword of the Tepet with the style, and make him a serious sword master. The style is elementally neutral, and thus would not chafe against Arada like the Wood aspect of Orgiastic Fugutive Style would. It also came into vogue when he was much younger, which makes it feel "right" for something he would study during his life.
I considered First Pulse Style, with its leanings towards speed with rough and ready fighting, but Arada still feels too honorable to be deeply instilled with such a dirty fighting technique. Leave that perhaps for Sesus Warru.
