Gem of Aqueous Command
The Gem of Aqueous Command is a black stone which is shaped like an 8 armed starfish whose legs are swept around. When socketed, the bearer of the stone may command any naval force with no need for relays and no penalties for magnitude. As long as the entire armed for is at sea, they receive this benefit. Once troops under the heartstone bearer's command land, take to the air, move up river, or engage in anything not considered "at sea", these forces take the penalties and require the relays that the army otherwise would not.
This means that if one hero in a magnitude 10 army landed on a beach and was still under the command of the bearer, he would require relays as if he were a magnitude 10 unit. If there are many such parties, these requirements may be split up.
This stone has not been seen in Creation until the Obsidian Pearl of the Great Western Ocean was sunk into its current prison. Its powers were denier to Artur in the final battle during that Calibration.
