November 2007
Friday, November 16th, 2007 was the first time we played on a Friday in a few weeks. Lately we have been playing on Saturdays, mostly. The Friday session was sort of proof positive of why we generally play on Saturdays nowadays. We didn't get a lot accomplished, and only 3 players (plus myself of course) were present. The story flow has been lacking on the site here, so there are huge chunks of plot that are not presented here. Currently the group is engaged in fighting the Fair Folk army that came out of the gateway through which Vengeance in Scarlet Regalia emerged at the approximate time that she was defeated outside Chanos. An absurd 10,000 Fair Folk, mostly hobgoblins, are spread over a 300 mile stretch from halfway up the Imperial Mountain to very near the foot of it, near the city of Juche. Tepet Ejava, half of the Vermilion Legion and the majority of the Scarlet Stone are camped 15 miles up-slope from the city of Juche, barring the road from the Amaranthine Path. The less experienced half of the Vermilion Legion, led by the disreputable Cathak Anano were previously delivered 300 miles up the mountain, just above the Gate of Auspicious Passage from which the Fair Folk invasion has emerged, by the Cloud of War.
The characters of the Far Shores game flew just over 100 Mountain Folk of the Scarlet Stone, and three Mountain Folk artisans to Anano's camp. This scene was resolved during the Saturday, November 10th session. One of the three artisans inexplicably arranged for the death of another, and then tried to sabotage the effort to disable the Gate of Auspicious Passage. Luckily the Dragon-Blooded characters of the Far Shores game prevented the mad artisan from thwarting their plan, despite the fact they failed to prevent him from killing one of his fellow artisans.
