Current Experience

Dark Waters

Experience record for the Dark Waters chronicle. Two values are shown Total (total Experience ever gained, including bonus points given to new characters joining after the chronicle already started) and Banked (the current number of points of Experience which have not been spent). Players are encouraged to list all Experience expenditures on some section of their individual character entry. Doing so helps track character development if you include real world dates for expenditures when possible. When players have been given bonuses for new characters entering the ongoing game, or reentering the game after an absence, those bonuses have been figured with a number of dice based on 3/4 of the average group XP as per suggested in the core book. I can imagine that we may use downtime bonus rules when they are applicable.

I would really like to see us fix the Banked values, weekly.

Iron Heart Lover gained 8 xp, but was killed during the battle at the Isle of Chains. Whispering Crow gained 65 xp, but was killed by Ebon Surf Chaser. Majestic Magnakhan gained 155 xp, but died fighting against the Fair Folk behemoth Storm's Grave.

We played on this particular Saturday, right before I went on vacation to visit family in Virginia and friends in Florida. This was the session where the PCs assaulted the Crevasse That Consumes the Sea along with the Ocean Father and an army of minor sea gods and water elementals. Despite the relatively short run of sessions, this was an end of story session. Bonus. Oh, Joe turned in The Bribe right before the session, but I didn't get to read it until later in the weekend.

The Admiral and Summers' character Ebon Surf Chaser destroyed the Lapis Ewer tavern in a drunken brawl. Togire was Essence training during this period.

The session played out the followup to the invasion of the Necropolis of King Isulgath on the Black Fleet Fair Folk island, and the discovery of the Irontooth invasion by the forces of Admiral Driftcorpse. Sheevawn began the game with 64 XP (redone due to Beau dropping out). Togire trained 1st performance excellency and will bolstering technique on the ship and will be finishing will bolstering and then taking his last month of essence 4 training. Sheevawn trained her griffon, summoned elementals, and started Irontooth repair. Ebon took his army to the freehold of Antar to camp out next to the fairfolk (blockade them) and train resistance for a month.

Admiral Driftcorpse unleashed a bone dragon upon Antar. He had found it laying hidden and dormant at the site. After Sheevawn's valiant efforts and much battle between the armies, it seemed to everyone but Ebon that without enabling the entirity of their solar might upon the beast, they would have to parley with the enemy admiral to save Antar.

We completed the ousting of the fairfolk and their admiral Driftcorpse without losing Antar by way of agreement rather than force. To do so, Togire killed a number of Ebon's men when trying to stop them from climbing down into the pit of the fairfolk lair. Of note this is concurrent with his virtue and flaw in which he stops at nothing to get something done, even though we didn't have Togire roll limit. Joe feels like he played out a limit broken Togire without having reached limit 10.

Far Shores

Experience record for the Far Shores chronicle. This section got really out of date, as I stopped updating it at some point. Ooops.

Two values are shown Total (total Experience ever gained, including bonus points given to new characters joining after the chronicle already started) and Banked (the current number of points of Experience which have not been spent). Players are encouraged to list all Experience expenditures on some section of their individual character entry. Doing so helps track character development if you include real world dates for expenditures when possible.

Summers updated Myar to add 5 XP, but I had already added the 4 Total from last session, so I think he should have only added the 1 for The Bribe. I did not update the Banked, as I couldn't remember where exactly people were.

As of June 30th, 2007, there was a current average of 166.6 Experience total to-date per character. 75% of that is 124.95, which means a new character joining the established game would roll 13 ten-sided dice to determine starting bonus to Experience.

When last seen, Cathak Roka had retired to the Heptagram. Mnemon Aratama returned to her mother, and took on a fairly protective role as the Realm descended into real civil war. Desan was slain in an attempt to slay the false Empress Vengeance in Scarlet Regalia.

Hundred Kingdoms

I don't have an Experience record for this chronicle. Hundred Kingdoms was an early, 1st edition, Solar Exalted game that I ran, although its events are all intertwined with those of the Far Shores and Dark Waters chronicles. The characters share a common setting and timeline, and indeed have encountered each other on occasion. Perhaps at some point I can scour values from various handwritten notes and some emails.
