Invisible Fortress
This is a canonical place described in extensive detail in the Time of Tumult book. As such, we will not be handing out copyrighted information about it here. The Invisible Fortress has played some part in the Hundred Kingdoms and Far Shores, chronicles, however, and that is discussed herein.
Though it has never exactly been the center of either chronicle, the Invisible Fortress has played some part (off and on) for multiple real life years, across two different chronicles. Even now, in its current state (see below), it continues to have some effect due to the knowledge and Artifacts recovered from it, as well as the characters who lived within it at one point or another.
The Bull of the North seized the Invisible Fortress late in Realm Year 768, when he discovered it during campaign against the Linowan. This occurred shortly after V'neef Mahina tried to gain control over it and was driven mad. Mahina escaped when the Bull's circle invaded the Fortress, and was found wandering the forest near the edge of the demon-tainted lands by the Linowan Faraka, cousin to Queen Arkasi and one of the primary leaders of the resistance against the Bull's invasion. The Hundred Kingdoms player character Solars visited the Bull's circle in the Invisible Fortress when the Twilight Gnoemi helped repair damage to the Manse in return for the right to copy parts of one of the magical texts that Samea found within it.
In the Realm Year 769, during the month of Descending Earth, the Bull of the North joined the Hundred Kingdoms chronicle Solars in an invasion of the city of Greyfalls. The Dragon-Blooded of the Far Shores chronicle assaulted the Invisible Fortress and caused so much damage that it was destroyed. The Bull and Samea swiftly returned, via flying barge carried by a Swift Winged Spirit of Transportation, but the Dragon-Blooded had escaped. The knowledge lost by the destruction of the Manse is absolutely tragic. Of course the fact that this knowledge was merely strengthening their enemies means that the Dragon-Blooded consider it a completely acceptable loss. As of the latter part of Descending Earth of 769, the Bull's allies were sifting through the rubble of the Manse, while the Bull swiftly planned his counterattacks against the legion led by General Tepet Ejava (then camped about 65 miles to the north) and the legion led by General Cathak Kitono (then about 90 miles to his south).
Ultimately, General Kitono marched south, abandoning General Ejava, as he headed to free Greyfalls from the Bull's occupational force (which is supplemented in part by the Hundred Kingdoms circle of Solar characters.
Yurgen Kaneko struck hard against the Linowan freedom forces, but was maneuvered into bad situations by the Far Shores Dragon-Blooded and their Celestial allies.
